We have some exciting changes here at DDS . . . some that have already happened and some that we are still transitioning into. While we have chosen to close the Shop portion of DDS, your favorite designers will continue to sell their designs at other stores. See the bottom of this post for links and information on where to find them.
The great news is that the DDS website is not going away – in fact, it's getting better! We are morphing into a new structure and format. It has always been Cilenia's dream to teach and share her creative passions and that's what she'll be doing! She will be offering tutorials and classes that teach creativity and art, along with intermediate and advanced computer drawing skills. Cilenia will soon be offering some Photoshop training along with the team at the Digitals site, where she'll also be selling her designs. She will also share her popular technique mini-tutorials there. Watch her personal site at CileniaCurtis.com for more information on when that will begin.
Here at DDS, we will be picking up where those tutorials and training opportunities end, offering further instruction for those who want to expand their learning even more. Our tutorials and courses will be focused on the artist who wants to climb out of their box and grow! Cilenia and her brother Christopher will be teaming up to present advanced techniques to apply and create in Photoshop, Art Rage and a few other computer aided design programs. Cilenia and Christopher have been drawing on the computer since 1986 (that's 25 years!) and are going to combine their experience and skills to bring you some awesome classes!
As part of the transition, the DDS forums will be private after June 1st so that we can keep the forums manageable for members and class participants. All current members will continue to have access. If you're not a current member, you can request access by contacting Cilenia. The private forums will include our Artist's Studio Forum, where members can ask and answer questions and share resources with each other. All creative scrappers and designers are welcome! Just send Cilenia a request to join.
Later this year we plan to offer a paid subscription area (the Designers' Studio) that will offer monthly advanced tutorials and exclusive free downloads of Commercial Use products which will not be sold anywhere else. This will be a place for you to learn and grow as a designer. Cilenia has years of experience mentoring other designers, and has used this Designers' Studio concept to teach and support the current DDS design team. It has been hugely successful and she has had many requests to open it up to the public. Watch here for more news about expanding the Designers' Studio to the public as a paid subscription.

Cilenia, Honey Scraps, Betty Jo and Lilly St. Studios can all be found at Digitals, with their awesome owner Stacey Mann and their very supportive team. Digitals has been up and running now for almost 7 years with the same owner and has a proven record in quality and customer service!
Kara and Senovia will continue to design, collaborating with Cilenia at Digitals.
Teresa will be opening her shop at Scrapable as of July 1st. Aria has chosen to take a few months off designing but hopes to join us again later this year.
There will not be any more DDS Newsletters after May 2011.
